About The Name

The roudoudou is a French flavored, sweet candy, poured in a sea shell. Originally, the container was a small wooden box. Now, it is replaced by a sea shell or plastic container in the sea shell shape. Children enjoyed the Roudoudou in licking the candy directly from the inside of the sea shell

Our Story

Les Roudoudous started in the beautiful town of Squamish in 2015. We aimed to provide a wonderful space for children to learn and play. In 2018, we relocated to Castlegar.

Meet The Team

Marie-Pier Dionne

Owner/Manager & ECE

Marie-Pier studied at the Cegep of Rimouski in Special Needs Education, early childhood at the Cegep de Riviere-du-Loup and Criminology at the University of Montreal. She worked for a few years for the Montreal School Board and eventually relocated to Whistler in beautiful BC. For the past 15 years, she has worked for the Sea to Sky Community Services, as well as, the French School Board of BC as a Special Aid Teacher Assistant. She is fully licensed with her ECE (Early Childhood Education) and speaks both French and English.

My favorite way of connecting with children, is to guide them by creating play and learning in a positive environment is to have every child excited to come to my facility, where they can explore, play and learn to reach their best potential possible. I am looking forward to meeting all the Roudoudous. I believe everyday a new adventure awaits."

Hey there! I'm Sakshi, an early childhood educator hailing from India, where I'm proud to share my rich culture and values with both children and adults. With three years of experience in this rewarding field, I find immense joy in guiding young minds and witnessing their growth. Beyond the classroom, I cherish moments spent immersed in books, surrounded by friends, and practicing self-care. As I embark on my journey to further my studies in teaching, I'm eager to continue sharing the beauty of my culture while striving to be the best educator I can be!

Carol Boyd

Hi there! My name is Carol Boyd and I am so excited to be working here at Les Roudoudous. At 56 years old, I love staying active, being healthy and working with children so I can stay young at heart as well. Being a mother of 3 adult boys and a new grandma, I've spent most of my life looking after children and molding young minds. I hold my ECE assistant status but it's the experience of 33 years is what's kept me in the industry. I've worked along side some amazing mentors in my years of preschool and daycare. Some of my hobbies are music, practicing a healthy lifestyle, sports, exercise, being outdoors, gardening and just loving life! ❤️

As an introverted person, I find my strength thoughtful observation and creative thiniking. My name is Simran. I am from India.Currently I am student at Selkirk college and just terminated my ECEA certificate. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with kids, making new dishes or painting. Despite of quite nature, I have a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for meaning connections.
